A universally designed structure or environment is one that can be accessed and used by people across the lifespan, regardless of age, size, ability or disability. Typically, such design can be achieved with little or no extra cost if done up front. Join us for a panel discussion with multiple perspectives on universal design from theory to implementation, including:

  • Esther Greenhouse, Built Environment Strategist
  • Lynn Gitlow, Occupational Therapist, Ithaca College
  • Dean Shea, NAHB Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Sunny Brook Builders

Anticipated audience to include: builders, REALTORS, landlords, municipal planners and officials, developers and designers

Co-sponsored by the Tompkins County Office for the Aging and the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center.

Space is limited: please RSVP to the Office for the Aging at lmonroe@tompkins-co.org or 274-5490
